Bible verses about the protection we have in Christ
Bible verses about protection
“But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in Him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced... There is no peace,” says the LORD, “for the wicked.”
Psalm 63:11; Isaiah 48:22
Know what I say to the wicked ...“The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.
Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. “But you—come here, you children of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes! Who are you mocking?
At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue?
Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars? You burn with lust among the oaks and under every spreading tree; you sacrifice your children in the ravines and under the overhanging crags.
The idols among the smooth stones of the ravines are your portion; indeed, they are your lot. Yes, to them you have poured out drink offerings and offered grain offerings. In view of all this, should I relent?
You have made your bed on a high and lofty hill; there you went up to offer your sacrifices. Behind your doors and your doorposts, you have put your pagan symbols. Forsaking Me, you uncovered your bed, you climbed into it and opened it wide; you made a pact with those whose beds you love, and you looked with lust on their naked bodies.
I will expose your righteousness and your works, and they will not benefit you... When you cry out for help, let your collection of idols save you! The wind will carry all of them off, a mere breath will blow them away...the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud. “There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”
Isaiah 57:1-8,12-13,20-21
Bible verses about the protection we have in Christ
Your turn ...
Repeat and believe over and over and over again.
Sew it in your soul.
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18
In praise pray ...
“Help, LORD, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race. Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts.
May the LORD silence all flattering lips and every boastful tongue—those who say, “By our tongues, we will prevail; our own lips will defend us—who is lord over us?” “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the LORD. “I will protect them from those who malign them.”
And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible like gold refined seven times. You, LORD, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked, who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race.”
Psalm 12
“but the LORD laughs at the wicked, for He knows their day is coming.”
Psalm 37:13
How to do this as a weekly Bible study
Day One: Experience Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”
Day Two: Observe & Read Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).
Day Three: Interpret Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…..”
Day Four: Application Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.
Day Five: Testify Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?
