BELYDIA IS INSPIRED BY…
Lydia from the book of Acts (chapter 16). Lydia was a worshiper of God, a seller of purple linen who heard Paul preach the Gospel. She *responded* by showing how faithful she was and opened up her home for Paul, Luke, Silas and Timothy to stay with her and be restored.
beLydia is a movement to unleash the power of Christian women. Our mission is to to raise awareness about sex trafficking by focusing on prevention. In addition, we help support other anti-trafficking ministries with the objective to bring hope and restoration to victims.
beLydia is a modern day woman’s response to the Gospel. We are passionate women called to do extraordinary things. Our wish is to enable women to walk out God’s purpose for their lives and encourage them to beLydia!
beLydia Gatherings will be hosted at churches and homes to raise awareness and prevent sex trafficking.
beLydia is a call for us to:
- respond to the Gospel
- practice hospitality
- be a blessing.
Be like Lydia. Be faithful and respond to the Gospel. Be a blessing by helping other people.
Faithful and absolutely trustworthy is He who is calling you [to Himself for your salvation], and He will do it [He will fulfill His call by making you holy, guarding you, watching over you, and protecting you as His own].
– 1 Thessalonians 5:24 (AMP)
